Definition
In today's lesson, you are going to learn all about the present indefinite tense in Urdu/Hindi languages. at first, let's learn its definition. It is used to express what is actually taking place at the present moment. It also tells us about a habit or a custom and describes an action as a historical present. here are some examples that help you understand much better.

Examples;
- I play cricket on Sunday.
- She brushes her teeth twice a day.
- Muslim keep fast in Ramadan.
- Water keeps its level.
The "first form of the verb" is used for this tense; as "go", "come", "buy" etc. to make a negative sentence, "do not" or "does not" comes before the verb. making an interrogative sentence, we either use do or does at the beginning of the sentence and a question mark comes at the end of the sentence. let's learn how to make affirmative, negative and interrogative sentences in this tense.
Sentences in Present Indefinite Tense
We often make three types of sentences; as affirmative, negative and interrogative sentences. let deal with them one by one.
1- Affirmative Sentences
Formula = Sub + verb + object+ fullstop
Examples
- She goes to school.
- We play cricket on Sunday.
- Ahmed brushes his teeth twice a day.
- Muslim pray five times a day.
- The Sun rises in the East.
- The Sunset in the West.
2- Negative Sentences
Formula = Sub + do not/does not + verb + object + fullstop
Examples
- She does not go to school.
- We do not play cricket on Sunday.
- Ahmed does not brush his teeth twice a day.
- Baby does not cry early in the morning.
3- Interrogative Sentences
Formula = Do/Does + sub + verb + object + Question Mark
Examples
- Does she go to school?
- Do we play cricket on Sunday?
- Does Ahmed brush his teeth twice a day?
- Does baby cry early in the morning?
